Instructors from the UASB, Ecuador, FLACSO Ecuador, the Del Rosario University and the Free University of Colombia participate in the meeting focused on the domain “Constitutional Justice, interpretation and application of the Constitution” that will be held in Toledo, Spain, until 18th July, with presentations linked to the OPT-IN Project
The following instructors contribute to the programme Interculturality, Peace and Rights of Nature (OPT-IN) and will participate in the meeting focused on the domain “Constitutional Justice, interpretation and application of the Constitution” organized by the University of Castilla-La Mancha, in the city of Toledo, Spain, from 1st to 18th July:

This seminar on constitutional law with presentations linked to the OPT-IN Project pursues two objectives: first, to strengthen the academic body that will teach a pilot course-workshop in Quito and Bogotá in September and will implement the Master’s Degree in Rights of Nature and Peace in 2020, at the UASB in Quito; and, second, to promote academic exchange between instructors from the participating universities of the Andean Community and the European Union already involved in the project in order to build the knowledge base of the Master’s Degree programme.
Pilot course-workshops in the month of September
The first objective will contribute to the programming of two pilot course-workshops: one that will be held in the city of Quito, from 9 to 11, and another in the city of Bogotá, from 12 to 14.
These three-day courses aim to foster the development of a full Master’s programme to open in 2020. The courses are meant for professionals and activists, key stakeholders in the field of the rights of nature and the construction of peace, the core topics of the OPT-IN Project.
Lectures by Latin American scholars in Toledo
The following Latin American scholars will deliver master classes at the University of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain, as part of the academic exchange between the participating instructors, the second main objective of the seminar:

OPT-IN presentations linked to the specialization programme in Toledo
Within the meeting focused on the domain “Constitutional Justice, interpretation and application of the Constitution”, which will be held in July, the special programme dedicated to the attainment of the OPT-IN project will deal with the following topics:
Miguel Ángel Pacheco Rodríguez: “A counter-hegemonic foundation of rights”
Francisco Javier Díaz Revorio: “Dignity and foundation of rights”
Roberto Viciano Pastor: “Ownership of the rights of nature”
Gerardo Ruiz-Rico: “The peace process in Colombia”
Marcos Criado de Diego: “Constitution and value of peace”
The special programme will end with a round table.
